Amani has made it his life’s purpose to help vulnerable communities. He is pursuing his doctoral studies in Community Development at the University of Toronto. His Ph.D. thesis focuses on identifying employment factors as the best predictors of high organization-based self-esteem (OBSE) among persons with disabilities in the workforce. Amani has travelled extensively as a speaker at humanitarian and HIV/AIDS International conferences, emphasizing locally led and community-driven development.
Rebecca is a professional with international achievements and expertise in international community development. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sciences from Brandon University in Manitoba, Canada, and has obtained numerous professional certificates. She is the Executive Director of Sunday Basil Agba Legacy Foundation (SBALF).
Prof. Urbanus Kioko is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Development Studies at the University of Nairobi. He holds a Doctorate in Economics with a specialization in Health Economics from the University of Nairobi (2008), an M.Phil. in Health Economics from the University of Cape Town, South Africa (2000), an M.A. in Economics from the University of Nairobi (1994), and a B.Ed. in Business and Economics from the University of Nairobi (1992).
Prof. Kioko has held several key positions within the University of Nairobi. These include serving as Head of the MSc in Health Economics and Policy program, Quantitative Thematic Head in the Department of Economics, Chair of the Health Economics Committee, and member of both the College Health and Safety Committee and the Department’s Graduate Studies Committee. He has also represented the University on the Ministry of Health’s steering committee for the Output-Based Approach (OBA) programme.
